“ This is where the locals eat. Asam pedas mix johor+melaka+withluv... ”
“ The asam pedas was nice but i will prefer more sour since 'asam pedas' should taste the 'asam'. ”
“ We went for random 'warung' for lunch and didn't expect we stumbled on 'hidden food gems'. Their 'hybrid' Malacca-Johore asam pedas was really something else, if you know what i mean. For anyone that familiar with asam pedas dish, probably will understood when i said Melaka style got somewhat sour signature on it while Johor style is spicy. But this small warung' manage to balanced both speciality and come out with one of the best asam pedas i had tasted so far. Oh yes, and the price is cheap. ”
“ warung style eatery that serves both pre cooked asam pedas and individual claypot cook upon order. We choose our asam pedas in claypot. The asam pedas was both spicy and delicious. The fish was fresh and we were told that they got their fish from the fishermen just opposite of their warung. Price is reasonable and the owner are also friendly. Definitely will come again on our next visit. ”
“ They cook each asam pedas dish individually. Lets say asam pedas pari (stingray), they will prepare the gravy and the fish as well and not just one gravy to cater for all fish. Delicious home-cooking asam pedas with cheaper price to pay compared to those asam pedas in town. The fish is fresh since the business owner is also a fishmonger! I would highly recommend this place to asam pedas lovers! -Not too sour -Not too spicy -Gravy not too concentrated Just nice to enjoy Melaka's No. 1 dish The photos below from right to left: pari & bayan (stingray & parrot fish) ”
“ Roadside "warung". Friendly owner. Fresh fishes. Asam Pedas Mayong/Duri is the one to go for. Claypot option available. ”
